PESACH 2012/5772 UPDATE
On behalf of the Board of Directors we want to wish all of Klal Yisroel a Chag Kosher V’sameach.
We would like to thank all those that have assisted us via our Chesed Network and the countless organizations that have & continue to work with us.
While Klal Yisroel was preparing for Yom Tov, NJRC was busy arranging and coordinating a number of projects which included:
Matzah baking for incarcerated Jews together with the Lasurim Organization.
Arranging for someone to help a family with a disabled child coming to NY from Baltimore for Yom Tov.
Assisted throughout the NY Metro area with Pesach packages delivering & distributing.
Placed a homeless Jew found sitting in a bank in Manhattan into a shelter and arranged for sleeping arrangements for Yom Tov & a place to eat the Sedarim with Chabad
Arranged for a number of people with no food to be at open house Sedorim in Boro Park & Flatbush with Beth Shifra
Coordinated for a family with an ill child to be transferred from Westchester Hospital to Columbia Hospital and arranged food, Sedarim , sleeping arrangements.
Coordinated Pesach food, Sedarim, and sleeping arrangements for a family in Hackensack hospital.
Following a house fire in Lakewood during bedikas chometz, the NJRC New Jersey office worked through the night to make sure the family had clothes, food & shelter for yom tov.
These are just a number of activities NJRC has been involved with in the days before Yom Tov.
As always we are always looking for new volunteers. Signup to our Chesed Network, Support@askan.org.
